Back home, crawling, and a night away!

I think Stella missed her toys after being gone for a whole week.  As soon as we got back, she started having way more interest in being mobile.  She started pulling up to standing on the outside of her bouncer.

We also entered into the Teething Stage!!  We have tried everything. Right at 7 1/2 months old, Stella is getting two teeth on the top (her two incisors) and two bottom teeth.  She has not run a fever, but she has not been herself.  Throughout the day, she would begin biting on everything she could find, then fusses and pulls away.  She stayed on Tylenol 2-3 times a day for nearly a week.  Those teeth are slow moving!  Other remedies that worked for us were frozen washcloths, frozen waffles, Hyland's Baby Tablets, and teething rings.

We missed Bristol.  He is more interested in Stella as she gets more mobile.  She is crawling a few steps at a time.  It is usually to get closer to Bristol.  He does not mind the attention and does not usually stick around too long.  Once she gets close, he steals a few licks of her drooly face and finds a new spot to lay.

For our 4 year anniversary, Jarrett and I got to stay in Dallas on Friday night and go to eat at Bob's Steak and Chop House.  Our friends and neighbors, Stevie and Fletcher met us out.  Annette and Marcus kept Stella for the night.  We had so much fun!  We are blessed to have family closeby always willing and happy to take her.  Bobs was awesome!

Saturday, we got up and had breakfast at the hotel.  We met Annette and Marcus and went to the Dallas Arboretum to tour the new children's exhibit there.  It is awesome! There are splash pads, science activities, garden, etc.  We are excited to go back.  After lunch, we got Stella and headed up to McKinney to attend the Garcia-Heinrich wedding.  It was a beautiful wedding and it was so fun to see and meet Jarrett's aunt, uncle, and cousins.   We are excited to spend more time with them.

Going to a wedding is the perfect way to end our anniversary weekend.  We are so incredibly blessed and thankful everyday.  In four years, we have covered some serious territory..houses, vacations, weddings.  Nothing ever prepared us for this past year...we have learned so much about being parents, taking care of a human (!!), and about each other!  It has been the greatest one yet.
