Growing up too fast

We have had a lot of fun this summer.  Here are some pics of us just hanging out.

Stella started giving me kisses... sometimes they are super aggressive because she wants to eat.  Other times, I think she really is being sweet.

I can conquer pretty much anything with her as long as we have a stash of Mum Mums... they are rice crackers that get really gummy.  She loves them.

Our series at church was "Wild Hogs" and Jarrett's motorcycle decorated the stage.
And it begins...right around 7 months she began rolling to where she wanted to go, then trying to pull herself up.  We are in for it now!

Stella had her first taste of some comfort food! She had some white gravy (left) and roast beef and carrots (right).  She was a huge fan of both.

7 Months Old (7/27/13)

Stella is starting to show her personality more and more each day.  She is starting to choose favorite toys and places to go.  She is not crawling yet, but she is pretty interested in figuring it out.  She will get on all fours, rock back and forth, then give up and roll over.  She can go across the room just by rolling!  She loves to watch Bristol, play with her horse toy, and try to grab our phones or the remote control.  She does not have any teeth yet.
She eats pretty much any fruit or vegetable... carrots, sweet potatoes, and bananas are still her favorite.

We love you, Stella Beth!  Seven months have FLOWN by... I can't wait for the next 7!

Spending the afternoon.. getting caught up from July!

This is pretty much how we spend our afternoon... playing on the floor in the living room.

She is getting better at feeding herself.  She still holds her food with the whole hand grip.  She has not used the pincer grip yet.

JW Marriott Resort and Spa in San Antonio, Texas!

Debi's friend, Monique, was able to get a great deal on rooms at the JW Marriott Resort in San Antonio.  It was such a great time!! Jarrett was out of town working so it was just mamas and kiddos.  The pool was perfect temperature, the weather was sunny and dry but not too hot.  There was an awesome splash pad that had just enough misters to make is seem almost cold when the wind blew to cool you off.  We left at 7 AM, so we got there and were in our swim suits by lunchtime.
Stella LOVES to be in the water.  She could have sat in there all day.. and we pretty much did! Our days consisted of this.  We would get out and give her a chance to dry off and get a dry diaper on, eat, nap, then do it all over again.

Gus and Garrett enjoyed the bigger kid stuff... There was also a huge adult water slide Garrett and I went down.
This is all the kiddos, except for Cadence.

One afternoon, Debi's friend in the area let us borrow her babysitter and a friend.  We got to have a little while by the adult only pool then went to dinner at the steakhouse.

They let you choose your own color of steak knife!

When we got back from dinner all of the kids were asleep...except Stella.  She was up and ready to afterparty with us.  We sat in the hallway and talked so none of the kids woke up.  Stella was being a total show-off when she had all of the attention.

Sweet Summertime

We have had an awesome summer.  I have been working at Sorenson about 10 hours a week.  Stella is still a happy, easy going baby.  She loves to eat! She is eating solid foods 2 times a day (sometimes 3).  She eats pretty much anything.. her favorites are oatmeal and fruit with yogurt, sweet potatoes, butternut squash, and hard boiled egg yolk. She has tastes of different foods we eat, too.
I have been running again and Stella loves to go with.  I put some ice packs in her stroller to keep her cool.  Bristol goes, too.

She is still trying to crawl but has not been successful yet.

If you get too close to her face, she will grab ahold of you and try to bite your face off.  Sometimes she does it when I think she is being silly, but most of the time she is hungry.  It looks to me like she likes to give kisses.

Starting to play more with Bristol!  He is being so gentle with her.
Throwback Thursday... She is wearing this Carters' outfit that both of my sisters and I wore.  I wonder if the Carters outfits I have now will last 35+ years... probably not.

She plays and watches the big girls at small group and loves it.  She yells and laughs at them.

We went to watch Daddy's softball game.  His team was in the playoffs.

Sleeping and lazing around the house.

Anyone who knows Jarrett knows that he is obsessed with beets.  They have never been my favorite food.  I have gotten them a few times in our co-op and roasted them fresh and found they are actaully pretty good.  Stella is like her daddy and loves them.  I love that it looks like she has lipstick on!
